C. Search functions
This is one of the most important and commonly used features of www.steelguru.com, as it helps you to find stories of your interest from our huge archives having more than 100,000 articles.

1. Basic search function
If you search for news containing "SAIL" in title of news or body of news and position selected is "Anywhere", it would yield all the news containing word SAIL in title of news or body of news. This type of search is best if you are not sure about exact position.

If you are sure that the Title contains a word at beginning or at end, you should select that as position. This would narrow your search. This however, is not the case with body of news. News can be best searched for a particular word or collection of words with position "Anywhere".

2. Advanced search function
This feature is based on up to 4 multiple inputs from you.
May contain keywords
Must contain keywords
Must exclude keywords
Contains exact phrase

Using the advanced search option, the numbers of results are narrowed down drastically thus saving your time

3. Glossary Search
If you search for abbreviation containing "CI", select category and the position selected is "Anywhere", then it would yield all the glossary items containing characters CI in abbreviation. This type of search is best if you are not sure about exact position.

If you are sure about the abbreviation, then type the abbreviation, select abbreviation, select position as at the beginning or in the end. This would narrow your search.
