| Hormozgan Steel plant commissioning delayed by 2 months - 11 Mar, 2010 | ||

Iranian steelmaker Hormozgan Steel is to start commissioning of its new slab producing plant 2 months later than planned. Delays in shipment and in installation of equipment have been cited as reasons for the postponement. Construction is already over 92% completed while to date about 70% of the equipment has been installed. The new Hormozgan Steel plant will have an annual capacity of 1.5 million tonne of slab.
